Chapter 6.5, Problem 6.3.4QC
Summary Introduction

To write:

About the comparison between primary hypersecretion of cortisol and secondary hypersecretion in response to changes in CRH levels and the description of the changes in blood levels of CRH, ACTH, and cortisol that are observed with each imbalance.

Introduction:

Excessive synthesis and release of the hormone is known as hyper-secretion. It can be of two types, namely primary hyper-secretion and secondary hyper-secretion. In the case of primary hypersecretion, it is the defect in the endocrine gland which causes the excessive production and release of the hormone. In the case of secondary hypersecretion, it is the problem in the hypothalamus or anterior pituitary gland which results in the excess secretion.
