Explanation of Solution

Prospects of the cloud:

In upcoming year, the cloud services will become faster and contains more secure; easier to use with low cost facilities.

• Organizations will get profits from the pooling resource of server through organizations and from the finances of scale made by cloud dealers.

Merits that the cloud brings:

• Organization can readily gain elastic resources at low cost.
• Using this trend, from individual get benefits on iCloud or Google Drive, to small companies using Office 365, to Organizations like Falcon Security using PaaS service, and so on.
• Hence, the size of the cloud gets increased.

Demerits that the cloud brings:

A small company will support the maintenance of in-house email Exchange and other servers. Suppose, if SaaS products like Google Drive or Office 365 will replace those servers, then local jobs gets terminated.

Disturbing factors in Figure6-7:

The Figure 6-7 shows “Apple Data Centre” building that contains computer in the web farm for supporting Apple’s iCloud offering. This building contains 505,000 sq. feet.

Consider the size of the parking lot in “Apple Data Centre”; they allocate tiny lot that accommodates the whole operations staff.

• This building contains 50 operations staff; spread over three shifts, means that not more than eight staff will be working that center at any shifts.
• It looks impossible. Because for more than 50 operations staff, they need extra space in parking lot.

Remote action system:

• By enabling computer based activity, remote action system will make an expert’s skill and abilities available in different places in which they are not physically located.
• Hence, it can save time and travel expenses. It also enables authorities to scale their capability.
• The categories of remote action systems are listed below:
  • Telediagnosis
  • Telesurgery
  • Telelaw enforcement
