Question
Chapter 7, Problem 19DYKB
Summary Introduction
To analyze:
The way parathyroid hormone regulates blood calcium concentration.
Introduction:
PTH is a chemical messenger called a hormone usually secreted by the parathyroid glands that seek to regulate the level of calcium in the blood. It oversees vitamin D and phosphorus levels too. When the body generates fluctuation in parathyroid hormone, it can cause symptoms that are associated with elevated calcium levels in the bloodstream.

Explain that PTH and calcitonin act in a complementary way to control blood calcium level
Explain how calcitonin, parathyroid hormone, and vitamin D are involved in maintaining blood calcium levels. What happens when too little or too much parathyroid hormone is secreted?
