• The importance of database technology is increasing day by day as databases are in use everywhere today.
• This act as the key components of e-commerce and other web based applications and also a heart of organization-wide operational and decision support applications.
• It is estimated that databases are used by thousands of work groups and millions of individuals and over 10 million databases are active in world today, which reflects the importance of database technology in today’s world.

• Database technology is one of the important business tool because it allows organizations to efficiently manage and access data files.
• Files are uniquely individualizes and attached to particular entity.
• The database makes the files as it must be authorized or accessible by anyone.
• The database gives faster analysis for better results to be made and also store the information into the database.
• The user can easily retrieve the information from the database.
