Explanation of Solution

Asexual reproduction is the process in which the offspring is produced from a single parent. The offspring produced are genetically identical to the parent. It is more common in many fungal species and it helps in quick spreading of the fungus. In asexual reproduction of fungi and molds, genetically identical spores are produced. These spores are formed inside sporangium. The sporangium breaks open and permits the spores to float out. These spores can spread and colonize new environments.
