Lady Gaga and the Kardashians are examples of intragenerational mobility because both have increased their social status in their own lifetimes. They have this mobility due to the popularity of their music in the case of Lady Gaga, or their lifestyle in the case of the Kardashians. Lady Gaga arguable moved more because the Kardashians were already rich before they became wealthy.
