To identify: The nail structure and its parts.
Introduction: The skin is the largest organ of the integumentary system that covers the entire body. The skin has some accessory structures derived from the epidermis, which extends up to the dermis and which include hairs, nails, and glands like sweat glands, sebaceous glands, and ceruminous glands. Nails are horny tissues that assist in grabbing things and protect the digits. The human body is bilaterally symmetrical, and the dorsal view refers to the back or upper side of the body. Thus, the back of the nail is shown in dorsal view. The sagittal section is cutting or slicing the organ in the sagittal plane.
