Introduction: Vitamin K is found in two forms, namely menaquinone and phylloquinone. Menaquinone is mainly produced by certain bacteria that exist naturally in the gastro-intestinal tract. Phylloquinone is mostly found in green plants. Vitamin K is important for blood coagulation.
