Use a system of inequalities to represent the situations described in Exercises 61 – 68, then solve the system using the methods developed in this section. In drawing the graph of your solution set, you may want to take into consideration that certain quantities cannot be negative and therefore you may want to restrict the solution set appropriately as we did in Example 9.
Weaving fair trade items. Magdalene Ngubui Nkambeh, who lives in Cameroon, weaves fair trade baskets and totes to support her family. In a year she can weave no more than 600 items but will easily weave at least 450. She plans to weave at least three times as many totes as baskets.
