Company C made a large expansion of its business in the year 1990 all over the world. It needs more employees to tackle the challenges faced in the market environment. So to have a collaborative working environment Company C formed a system called shift. It combines a blogs, social networking, video conferencing and micro blogging tools. This system helps the employees to connect from all region and it helps to avoid various geographical barriers.

Though many companies failed in this system, Company C has achieved various elements like launching new products and new innovations. Thus, this system shifted the hierarchical culture to an agile and approachable social business.

Explanation of Solution

A well-established company will have an organized and well-planned structure. A sudden shift by opening a communication channel across hierarchal and geographical boundaries in these types of companies will take more time to adapt and face the resistance.
