Question
Chapter 8, Problem 2CC
Summary Introduction
To determine:
The functional deficits that Ken will have with a fracture in the right clavicles.
Concept introduction:
Clavicles are bones that support the upper limbs (arms). They keep the arms away from the trunk to allow free movement of the arms. They also protect the neurovascular structures that innervate the upper limb. They act as a direct connection between the scapula of the pectoral girdle and axial skeleton. This anatomical connection allows the clavicles to transfer the weight of arms to the axial skeleton.
