Images stored in the ImageList control:
- ImageList control includes various types of images and these images are displayed using PictureBox control.
- Images property is used for inserting the required images into the control.
- The syntax used for adding the images to pictures from ImageList control is as follows:
.Image=.Images[index];
- Image is the property that holds the required images in the PictureBox.
- It is necessary to follow few guidelines to use an ImageList control in an application, they are as follows:
- Each and every image that gets stored in an ImageList should be the same size.
- The size of images that are stored in ImageList control should not exceed 256 by 256 pixels.
- Each and every image stored in the ImageList control should be in the same format(.bmp, .jpg, and so forth).
- 16 by 16 pixels, is the default size of image.
- When the value of the ImageSize property does not match the size of the images that are contained in the control, the images appear distorted as soon as they are displayed in the PictureBox.
- PictureBox control is used to display the images of ImageList control.
- Syntax to display the images:
PictureBox imageCon = newPictureBox();
