Introduction: A skeletal muscle fiber is a thin, elongated cylindrical cell that is surrounded by a cell membrane called as sarcolemma. The satellite cells are the muscle precursor cells located above the sarcolemma and below the basal lamina. The myofibrils are the thread-like strands within the muscle fibers. Actin is a thin filament and myosin is the thick filament of myofibrils.
