The cochlea is the part of the inner ear that is involved in the hearing process. In humans, it makes 2 turns in the bony labyrinth as a spiral-shaped cavity. Organ of Corti is the core component of the cochlea. The waves are propagated from the base to the apex in the spiral cavity of the cochlea.
