Concept introduction:
Pressure can be expressed in different units. But it is normally reported in
Systolic blood pressure: It is the maximum pressure formed in the artery just after contraction since the heart forces the maximum amount of blood into the artery.
Diastolic blood pressure: It is the minimum pressure formed at the end of the heart cycle.
The device which is used to measure blood pressure is sphygmomanometer.
