Summary Introduction

To explain:

The influence of the type of microorganisms on the effectiveness of exposure to antimicrobial agents in brief.

Concept introduction:

The microbial control methods are the chemical, physical, and biological methods that help in inactivating microbes or kill them. The microbes respond differently to different types of antimicrobial agents.

Explanation of Solution

The endospores are ten times resistant to vegetative bacterial cells. The endospores are most resistant to radiations, desiccation, high temperatures, and high acids. The endospores have exosporium that is made of exine.

The prions are less resistant from endospores but other than other microbial entities. The reason for resistance in prions is the absence of nucleic acids and disrupted the structure of proteins.

Vegetative bacterial cells have metabolism based on the integrity of membrane lipids. The disruption of the integrity of the membrane leads to death of the vegetative bacteria that makes them exposed to antimicrobials.

Conclusion

Different types of microbial entities respond variably to antimicrobial agents. Some of them are resistant, followed by less resistant to at last most sensitive.
