Introduction:

Synovial joints are joints that produce a wide range of movements. The synovial joints are commonly found in the hands and foot. The foot and the ankle are rigid structures that help in balancing the body, support body weight and also act a shock absorber. Some of the special movements of the foot include dorsiflexion, plantar flexion, inversion, eversion, supination and pronation.
