Summary Introduction
Introduction:
Ligaments are tough short bands made of fibrous connective tissue that unites the bones in the human body. The cruciate ligaments, also called as cruciform ligaments are a pair of ligaments which are usually arranged in the form of the letter “X”. The cruciate ligaments are found in the knee joint. They are of two types: the anterior cruciate ligament and the posterior cruciate ligament. These ligaments cover the intercondyloid notch of the femur to the head of the tibia in the form of a cruciform.
