Chapter 9, Problem B.7RQ
Summary Introduction
To describe: The way in which a stimulus may lead to the contraction of a smooth muscle cell without a change in the plasma membrane potential.
Introduction: Smooth muscle cells are primarily found in the walls of visceral organs, such as the blood vessels, stomach, urinary bladder, intestine, and so on. Smooth muscle is classified into two groups based on whether the smooth muscle fibers are either stimulated to contract as one unit or independently.
