Chapter 9.7, Problem 11E

Experimental data is available that shows the excess molar volume of acetone with three different normal alkanes at 298.15 K: n-hexane, n-heptane, and n-octane. Each of the three mixtures shows positive excess molar volumes across the entire composition range. Consider their values in Table E9-11 for an equimolar mixture.
