ABSTRACT The objective of this project is to design LCD digital oscilloscope for practical use. The basic concept for the project involves reading the voltage signal at the input and displaying it on the screen of an alphanumeric LCD. The input analog signals are supplied to the ADC(Analog to Digital Converter), which are then sampled by it and the amplitude of the signal(voltage) is displayed on the LCD. Device Components: Microcontroller or processor: We used Atmega16- an Atmel AVR series
Chapter 1: Measuring the amount of substance Analytical chemistry: science of chemical measurement. Its object is the generation, treatment and evaluation of signals from which information is obtained on the composition and structure of matter Measurement: process of obtaining the magnitude of a quantity Example: The amount of saturated fat in the sample is 3 g/serving. Quantity: attribute of a phenomenon that may be distinguished qualitatively and determined quantitatively Value: magnitude

CHAPTER 1 1. INTRODUCTION 1.1 Overview Nowadays it is impossible to imagine any device where microelectronics is not present, from personal computers through home appliances, modern society relies on the performance of integrated circuits. It is so, that microelectronics advent has opened doors to new horizons where integrated circuits have played an important role from the very beginning of their creation since the late 1950s, when Jack St. Clair Kilby, a Texas Instruments Engineer, decided to change

Unit 3 The Characteristics of Electricity ( pg 296 ) Day 1 Electrostatics - study of static electricity Neutral objects - materials that do not carry a charge Conductors allow charges (electrons) to flow through them easily. E.g. metal Therefore no matter how hard that you rub a metal tap no static charge will build up because the electrons that you are giving the tap just keep on moving up the tap and down the water line until they reach a ground. Insulators do not allow charges
