Assignment Reflection What Is the Assignment Reflection? The more students know about themselves as learners (their time management skills, self-regulation skills, and their learning preferences), the more likely they are to succeed in college and later in their career. The purpose of the Assignment Reflection is to help you reflect on your preparation strategies and your performance so that you know what adjustments to make to improve your academic outcomes. Assignment Name (10 points) : Choose ONE of the following and type the name of the assignment below: Time Flies, Information Literacy, or the Plagiarism Quiz. Use complete sentences. 1. I used the lecture for that week to understand all aspects of academic journal articles. It took 30 minutes to an hour to get through the lecture. 2. I also used some outsourced information to broaden the information I already knew. I spent 15 to 30 minutes to broaden my knowledge. 3. Finally, I used Grammarly to make sure all my grammar is correct. It only takes about 5 minutes to use Grammarly. All requirements of the assignment were included and all mechanics in the assignment were correct. 2. I did an excellent job explaining why journals are more credible than newspapers. 3. For each change, explain how you will make the adjustment for future assignments. Use complete sentences. 1. The number one thing I would change is how long I spend on one assignment. I feel like I can be more efficient on each assignment which would result in less time being wasted. 2. I could have my work area set up by my next assignment and will have a better place to do my work. After, I can at my work area for each assignment. 3. To not do my assignment so close to the due date. I will have less pressure on myself because my assignment is completed earlier. Self-Assessment (20 points) : What score did you earn on the assignment you selected? What score did you expect to receive on this assignment? Why do you think you did better or worse than you expected on this assignment? Explain using 3 5 complete sentences.
I earned one hundred on this assignment. I expected a high B or an A- on this assignment, and I was surprised that I got a hundred. I think I did better on the assignment because I carefully read all the directions and made sure I answered aspects of the assignment. This made sure I scored as many points as possible. Mechanics (10 points): You will receive a grade out of ten for grammar, punctuation, spelling, clear writing, etc.
