Teacher will introduce the procedure on the first day of school. The teacher will model the procedure at the beginning of class for the first week of school. Teacher and students will repeat when reinforcement is needed or when new students join the class. Teacher will watch for students who follow the steps correctly and will positively reinforce the students. Procedure #1 Late/ Missed Assignments Purpose of procedure Procedure steps or activity When the procedure will be: Assessment /Feedback Introduced Modeled Practiced It aims to provide the necessary resources, time, and freedom for students to complete their documentation properly upon returning to class. 1.When the student returns to class, they will be informed that they were absent, and they must complete their documentation. 2.The teacher will then go over the missed assignments to make sure that they are clear instructions. 3. If the work is a test the student will have three days to complete it This procedure will be discussed and explained thoroughly on the first day of class. The teacher will provide a scenario for the students in case of this situation. The teacher will also demonstrate and show where the assignment bin will be for the work Occasionally to help remind students of the procedure making sure that they are aware of how to turn in and complete late assignments. If a student has been absent for more than two days in a row, the teacher will contact the parents or guardian to make sure that they are okay. The teacher will provide support as

Procedure #2 Dismissal Purpose of procedure Procedure steps or activity When the procedure will be: Assessment /Feedback Introduced Modeled Practiced Students should leave the classroom in a way that is orderly, free from the chaos, and prepares them for the next class or dismissal at the end of the day. 1.The timer will stop working once five minutes of class have been left. 2.Students must begin picking up their assignments and disposing of any waste. 3.They should also be ready to go back to class the following day with their assignments. 4.They should quietly file out of the door as the bell rings. This procedure will be introduced the first day of class. The teacher will demonstrate with student volunteers. This procedure will be practiced regularly. More so I am student is having difficult following the procedure. If the procedure is unsuccessful, it will be revised. Feedback and suggestions are welcome from students. Procedure #3 Group Assignments Purpose of procedure Procedure steps or activity When the procedure will be: Assessment /Feedback Introduced Modeled Practiced Students must perform well in group settings to develop their communication and problem-solving abilities. This is done through the use of their skills in problem-solving. 1. The students must listen to the teacher's instructions. 2. They must also write down their ideas using materials given. 3. The teachers must then assess their understanding and assign each member a task. 4. They must promote interaction by making sure that each member is focused on their job. The teacher will provide an explanation of how each step will be conducted. This will be accomplished through the prior assignments, as well as the utilization of visuals aids to help pupils comprehend the instructions. This will be conducted during the assigned task. The students will have the opportunity to practice this during the given assignments. During the group activity, the teacher can assess the students' performance by monitoring their activity. The teacher will walk from one group to another to supervise and instruct.
Procedure #4 Restroom Visits Purpose of procedure Procedure steps or activity When the procedure will be: Assessment /Feedback Introduced Modeled Practiced The goal is to allow the students to demonstrate their trustworthiness by performing their own personal tasks without adult supervision. 1. Hold three fingers to signal that students need to go to the restroom. 2. After the teacher acknowledges them, students can sign their name on a whiteboard and turn in their ticket. 3. They can then turn in their unused tickets at the end of the day to get a chance to win. This procedure will be introduced on the first day of class. Students will model this with the help of the teacher. It is important to regularly reinforce the proper usage of procedures. Repeat the training on a specific subject whenever deemed appropriate. Procedure #5 Late Arrival to Class Purpose of procedure Procedure steps or activity When the procedure will be: Assessment /Feedback Introduced Modeled Practiced It is important to ensure that disruptions are minimized and that students are getting the ideal amount of time to settle into studies. 1.The entrance to the room should be polite and quiet. 2.Homework should be placed in a basket, and journal writing should begin. 3. Students should also ask their neighbors what they are doing. This procedure will be introduced on the first day of class. It will also be posted in the class to give students a reminder of the procedure for late arrival. The teacher will teach the students to model this so that others are aware of it. The teacher will model this with the help of a student volunteer. It will be molded as needed and for new students. The teacher will give students praise for a job well done. Rationale Write a 100-150 word rationale explaining how procedures minimize distractions and maximize instructional time. In order to run smoothly, the class must follow proper procedures. “Soon after the introductions, usually after the initial room description, present the major rules and procedures” ( Evertson & Emmer, 2017, pg. 103). Students will be more focused on what they are expected to do when they have these rules in place, and they can accomplish their tasks faster with fewer distractions. This helps the teacher complete their work more effectively. Some of these procedures can help minimize distractions, such as entering the classroom properly when coming in late. Doing so can prevent disruptions, and it can also help the teacher complete their tasks more effectively. Having a procedure for late or missed assignments can help the
