1.What were your expectations of younger children? To improve their speaking and listening abilities, they'll spend a lot of time singing, dancing, and playing games together. Students will be motivated to practice attentive listening, focus, responding to questions and directions, exchanging thoughts and experiences, and participating in dialogues. Many kids require certain rules to follow and structure in their daily lives. Children require firmly established guiding principles, unambiguous guidance, and regular follow-through. You can anticipate complex play, deeper friendships, complex emotions, enhanced cognitive and motor abilities, and more. Encourage students to explore ideas, pay attention to their abilities, read aloud to them, and have difficult conversations to support their development. 2. What were your expectations of older students? Students must attend school every day to develop the knowledge, abilities, and self- assurance required to be college- and career-ready. Their regular engagement significantly influences students' achievement in school in everyday classroom activities. Regular and punctual attendance at school is required of all students. Academic success is required of students. You anticipate them to, make an effort to achieve their academic potential, participate assiduously in your studies, actively take part in neighborhood activities. I expected the students to know multiplication facts and hwo to write in cursive. 3. Were your expectations met? Share. I feel like for the most part my expectations were met. The students were well behaved. Only one or two did not show up to class everyday. They listened to the teacher and followed classroom rooms and expectations. Their grades showed that they knew the material that was being taught.
4. Did you learn something about the personalities of the students at a given age that may have changed your mindset as to teaching a particular age? Be specific. I have always wanted to teacher younger kids. Teaching older kids comes with more them talking more, and not listening like they should. Older kids start to bully other studnets and make friends with certain kids. With the younger students such as Pre-K, most students enjoy playing with all the kids in the class. They enjoy coming to school alot more. I want to teah the kids in Pre-K. I want to start the foundation for learning. It is hard to fix a foundation that is broke in older kids. 5. What have you learned about yourself as a future teacher? Be specific. ( Share your thoughts.) My classroom experiences have taught me a lot about myself as a teacher, which has been really beneficial. I've come to realize that I have high standards for my students. I have high expectations for every student I work with because I have faith in them and know they are capable of anything if they put their minds to it. I have a great deal of hope for my students. I demonstrate to them that they are all capable of accomplishing great things in life and that they possess the necessary skills. I've come to realize how much patience I have. Being patient is a highly crucial quality for teachers to possess, especially those who work with young children.
