After reviewing the notes for this section answer the following questions: (1) What is an institution (check the notes)? List and explain at least three different institutions in society that are not already covered in the notes (50-100 words, 25 points). any regulatory structure or system of social cooperation and order that controls the actions of a group of people inside a specific human society. (2) Describe your family... as you understand it...using at least 3 terms from the family section of the course. What is at least one way that your family has trained you to behave that seems unique to your family? (50-100 words, 25 points). One way I think my family has trained me is when it comes to dating. I feel like when it comes to dating we all look for someone like us only because we are taught to i feel like its a learned behavior for me to date black people because i've always been told to look for people like me. (3) Pick a holiday and discuss whether the way you celebrate it is as a tension management holiday or a recommitment holiday. Give at least two reasons to support your answer (25-50 words, 25 points). I don't celebrate holidays but if i had to pick one it would be Thanksgiving and it would be a recommitment holiday thanksgiving it literally a false narrative that had drama, and ceremonies. Secularization is the process through which a society shifts from a strong association with religious institutions and ideals to nonreligious principles and secular institutions. (5) List and explain at least 4 ways that schools end up making inequality in America worse. Cite your examples from the notes. (100-150 words, 25 points) Educational inequality is the unequal distribution of academic resources, including but not limited to; school funding, qualified and experienced teachers, books, and technologies to socially excluded communities. (6) Define and explain any two theoretical traditions within criminology. Make sure to provide a full explanation. (25 points) (7) List and explain at least two different perspectives on popular culture (25 points) (8) ESSAY: Identify and explain three things from the section on Institutions that will most stick with you moving forward.
