During the past eight weeks, this class has given me a life-changing experience. This class has allowed me to take everything I have learned in the last 13 classes and tie it all together into one piece, called the capstone. The capstone was a challenge that I had to overcome as a student and as an individual. There were days when I was stressed out and others where I felt confident. The constant roller coaster of emotions made this final project unforgettable. In fact, there were countless hours of research and revising paragraph after paragraph, until it was as close to perfect as I could get it. This capstone project has helped me work on my weaknesses and turn them into strengths. Therefore, one of the most beneficial components to the development of my MIPS capstone project was the extensive support …show more content…
For instance, learning the intricacies of the Merit-Based Incentive Program has allowed me to grow as an administrator. It has given me the confidence and knowledge to provide my practice with the exceptional resources that are needed in order to succeed within the healthcare field. I have also learned how to develop a program proposal that would be implemented into our organization in order to solve our underlying problem. Here I have learned how to organize devise a detailed timeline as well as develop a plan with significant resources to create a successful program. Therefore, learning these skills has been crucial to my development as a healthcare administrator because not only do I have the tools to implement a thriving program, but I also know what methods I should use to measure the overall success. Lastly, it has come to my attention that choosing a topic that is crucial to healthcare reform is important because we need to stay up-to-date with these changes in order to create a powerful and prosperous environment for our healthcare
Even after school is completed, I will continue to pursue learning opportunities to grow with the profession in the changing healthcare world because I believe it is essential so that patients will have the best opportunity to succeed when working with me.
profession, communities, and in society” (para. 5). I want to continue to broaden my knowledge over the life of my career. I also believe in using this knowledge to positively impact others in all aspects of healthcare.

This was by far the most challenging course that I have encountered while obtaining my Master’s Degree in Educational Technology from UCMO. That is not a negative comment as this course has actually impacted me professionally more than any other course I’ve taken to date. This course has taken more time to complete the assignments, more of my attention to detail, and more of my creativity. The last point was the best part about this course. I consider myself to be fairly creative and this course definitely allowed me to do that while bringing my somewhat odd personality to a professional forum. For this I am grateful. Let’s get to the good stuff, shall we?
I will be your academic coach for this Capstone course that starts on 11/6/2017 and runs for 5 weeks. Please review your syllabus for to review the assignments and their due dates. Please review the grading policies,
This class has been the most challenging class thus far in my college career. There has never been a time where I have written a paper and it has been picked part so hard and every element scrutinized. I am very thankful that we have the professor that we have for this course that is very uplifting as well as critical when it comes to the assignments. I know for a fact that this class and the foundation that I have laid for the rest of my college career is
When I first read the course description and then the syllabus, I knew the IDS 101 Cornerstone Seminar class was going to be challenging, difficult, time-consuming and rewarding. The skills of critical thinking, research, and writing were foundational for preparing me for success in future course work, my career, and life. Over the last eight weeks and after more than one hundred hours, I have improved my knowledge and understanding of developing analytical essays, research papers, and reflective essays. I have included the following works in my digital portfolio:
At SNHU, I have acquired a lot of skills that allowed me to complete my capstone project. I have learned many concepts that help me to successfully finish with my entire program. To prepare such a capstone project, it is indispensable to have some skills and knowledge. I received that knowledge from the course I had at SNHU. I got the project management skills. I now have knowledge of the healthcare informatics. My communication skills have been ameliorated. Since the project is about the healthcare system, I used my knowledge of healthcare studies to prepare my report. Those studies included, but not limited to: Health Policy and Financing; Leadership in Clinical Microsystems; Global Health and Diversity; and Health Policy, Law, Ethics and Regulations. In Addition to that knowledge, the marketing skills have been helpful for preparing the report. In sum; the courses I took at SNHU have considerably helped me to appropriately prepare the capstone project.
The five-minute warning bell goes off. I rush to my first class of my junior year, eager to see my classmates, who I was going to spend the rest of the 9 months with. I find myself stumbling into a classroom plastered with decorations of Denzel Washington with a Dr. Seuss book in his hand, a t and college flags galore. My AP English 11 class suddenly seemed so appealing to me. As a beautiful, curly haired short lady stood in front of me and said “Welcome to AP English 11,” I knew that I had found a treasure so much greater than just a pretty classroom. Little did I know, that short lady was going to inspire me throughout my challenge filled second-to-last year of high school.
For your final paper, you must convince me that you learned in this class. How? Keep reading….
This capstone course has helped me to tie together all the classes I have taken thus far in the program as well as helped me to identify what skills and knowledge I need to continue working on. The capstone presentation, as well as class, helped me to practice strength-based language and be conscious of how I describe my client’s when presenting. It can be a habit to use negative language to describe a problem-saturated story and unintentionally describe a patient’s story in a way that comes off as stigmatizing. This class helped me become conscious and tactful of how I word sensitive circumstances. It was a great experience to present my patient’s case to the class and practice being thoughtful on how I portrayed my patient’s presenting
The Capstone Experience gave me a positive perspective in learning on structuring a business. I was hesitant throughout my sessions on how to proceed; however, after researching the web and corresponding with the session requirements, I was able to gain and improve a new insight of knowledge. I appreciated the diverse topics that the Capstone course presented. I agreed with the assignments for each session. What I disagreed with was not having thread discussions (besides session 8). In the past, I have learned different background experiences and perspectives from my classmates; therefore, I missed not having thread discussions in the Capstone course. Nevertheless, I was able to get over it and appreciate addressing the assignment
Waking up in the morning filled me with dread. I didn’t want to go to school. Why would I when all that was waiting for me there was anxiety and stress? Loaded with four AP classes, each day was a test of my endurance, my ability to last throughout hours of lectures and assignments. Every night was passed with me studying for the next day of class and sitting at my computer writing an essay
Looming in front of me was something new, a fresh start. Despite being this, it seemed cold and trying, something that sent shivers down my spine. Mixed emotions of uncertainty and optimism had filled my first day of middle school; and as my final year is drawing to a close, I realize that this place-this transitional time in my life- is something that I never want to leave. I created a home away from home, and a family, over the short three years spent learning here. Each school year, from first to concluding, brought new experiences in which have altered my life. These are the things that I am hoping to carry over into high school-my next chapter. Every experience in which middle school has brought leaves me changed indefinitely, shaped for the future ahead.
