Conveniently located opposite the Parkmore Shopping Centre and next to Chemist Warehouse, Keysborough has created the Re-creation Health Club that offers a friendly welcoming environment and has an easy access to the car park. Launched back in 2009, the Keysborough gym expands over two levels and now offers the experience to improve the customers’ health and motivation. The Re-Creation Health Clubs renovations are now complete bringing a new Keysborough gym with a fresh new design, a new attitude to fitness and sets a new standard for health and fitness in the community. Complete with an incipient plenarily equipped gym, pristinely incipient state of the art cardio equipment, with three group fitness studios that includes boxing, cycle and …show more content…
The project management that I would consider using for the Re-creation Health Club at Keysborough that improves the customer service is the agile project management. Not only has the staff treated their customers with communication but also the layout structure that represented to the customers. So with the way the structure shown in Re-creation Health Club, there has been inventory equipment lying around which can cause customers to trip over and may result in injury. This can create a bad habit that can bring the business down if there is a continuation of angry customers. The equipment at the gym will be fragile for some of them. The staff should tend to replace with new equipment every year to prevent it to rust. So to add value towards the local gym at Keysborough, the manager should assign the tasks towards the employees for delivering high-quality work. Agile Project Management is about embracing change, even tardy in the development stage. It’s about providing the requirements firstly with the business value, and then having the real-time information to control time, scope and cost.
Agile Project Management reduces intricacy by breaking down the many-months-long cycle of building requisites for the entire project, building the product and then testing to find hundreds of product imperfections. Instead diminutive, utilizable segments of the
Agile Project management is one of the industries dominating methodology for project management in IT. It is an incremental and iterative way to manage the build and design activities for constructing an IT product, services, and project development in manner which is highly interactive and flexible. In this methodology, scope is defined in granularity that is appropriate with time horizon and checked with the agreement on each feature with the customer. In this methodology work steps are divided with feature breakdown structures. In order to track the progress of the project progress charts are used instead of Gantt charts. Cross-functional and test-driven development teams starts working from the very beginning of the project to provide
Nowadays, the economy evolves rapidly and levels of competition force companies to adopt new approaches In order to keep up with market changes. Many large and medium scale companies have multiple projects and programs in progress, and they are using PMO as an essential part to apply to project management practices. Over time, many companies with long histories of successful PMO and project management practices may want to accelerate their project performance and adopt Agile as a new approach for their projects. As a result, this change can play an important role to raise different type of problems and difficulties between the existing PMO and Agile development team (Agile developers).
Agile techniques should be used to solve the current issues faced by the company as agile techniques normally being used by the software industry help the business to act in response under the unpredictable situations faced. In Agile methodologies opportunities are been provided to evaluate whether the project is under the direction all through its development cycle. All this is being accomplished with the help of regular tempo kept in work, and the teams must show a product which is having the desired potential.
Notion of faster to market and changing rapidly to demands of the market has given boost to Agile. Agile promotes iterative delivery and design as go because of which many organizations are given a hand to agile and developers are doing architecture as they go into their iterations. Without proper architecture we will create silos and redundant
Agile is an iterative and incremental (evolutionary) approach to software development which is performed in a highly collaborative manner by self-organizing teams within an effective governance framework, with "just enough" ceremony, that produces high quality solutions, in a cost effective and timely manner which meets the changing needs of its stakeholders [1].
Agile methodology is a software development lifecycle which designed to produce faster development and high quality results compared with the traditional lifecycle. The Agile method focuses on incremental and iterative development where requirements, specifications, design, implementation, and testing continue throughout the project lifecycle (Nanthaamornphong, Morris, Rouson & Michelsen, 2013). Agile software development methods enable software developer to be more flexible and responsive to the changing environments and customer demands. However, Agile adoption comes with special challenges and fundamental organizational changes are necessary for successful outcome.
Agile in its current state, on the other hand, tries to balance speed and efficiency with product quality. Several Agile methods were developed a few years after RAD in order to address volatile environments where needs are not immediately known at the start of a project. These methods also work well in environments where customer needs are constantly changing. Current agile methods are nimble, able to adapt quickly, and able to be modified to suit the environment, the type of project, or development team’s needs. It requires a lot of customer and stakeholder involvement.
It today’s society, “going to the gym” has become a normal phrase heard around the world; however, the fitness center industry is not exactly in the spot light of today’s media and headline news. So, that sparks the interest of what makes the fitness center industry succeed, what are their strengths. What about the fitness center industry in the future; are there weaknesses that could ultimately cause them to fail as a whole? What about opportunities that could add to their success? Are there threats that lean on the shoulders of those managing such an industry? With all this curiosity, a SWOT analysis needed to be
Agile is the management of incremental software development across cross functional teams. Learned from years of successes and failures, the agile philosophy centers on software development with an importance with self-organization, motivation, in addition to daily team interaction. It means being able to present working software instead of slides and documentation. Agile encourages customer collaboration throughout the entire process to allow developers to respond to change in a timely manner. The agile development process can be implemented by different developmental processes and is comprised of several key principles. With personal experience of the outcome of correct agile implementation; agile can have the opposite effect without
In conclusion, agile software development is a very exciting and useful approach, although some project suit agile more than others. The collaboration and visibility can provide a much better and rewarding experience for the team to develop software products. Over the last years, many companies dramatically improved their performances
When developing a software product there are two different project management approaches that can be taken: waterfall or agile. Both waterfall and agile have their advantages and disadvantages but agile has become the more popular of the two, due to its ease of change during the devolvement process.
Agile Methodology is an incremental, repetitious means of managing projects, particularly in the field of software development. These iterations, or sprints, give project managers many opportunities to evaluate and change the project during its lifecycle as well as keeping the end user informed and involved in development.
Project Management Dr. James A. Bednar jbednar@inf.ed.ac.uk http://homepages.inf.ed.ac.uk/jbednar SAPM Spring 2006: Project Management 1 Project Management A project is ‘a temporary endeavour to produce a unique product, service, or result’ (PMI 2004). Project management (PM) techniques were originally developed for waterfall-type projects like building construction. PM focuses on planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling the complex interdependencies among subtasks. PM techniques are particularly relevant when considering the entire project in which software development is embedded, which includes other activities such as documentation, training, hardware, etc.
Software Development has progressed far in recent years, with Agile software development methodologies contributing to the success of projects and customer satisfaction. This feasibility study will examine the potential implications involved with implementing the 'Integrated Management of Projects and Systems’ (IMPS) system using an Agile method. The system will assist Software Engineers in Communications, Requirements Gathering, Quality Control, and project management. The IMPS system aims to solve remote communications issues and technical complexity barriers faced by non-technical stakeholders involved in software projects, resulting in decreased operating costs and increased productivity. The system will be introduced to the organization gradually as it is development, with a minimum of disruption.
Team members with diverse skillset and knowledge would be useful when developing software using agile. This whole team approach encourages effective and efficient team. It allows rapid project delivery. Project feedback is possible at early stages of software development lifecycle (Cockburn, Alistair, and Williams 2003). Therefore agile methodology is considered as cost as well as time effective.
