I am a strong and fast reader, and I enjoying working independently and am attracted to the ability to be completely on my own schedule. Reading is a favorite hobby of mine, and I am confident in my interest of the subject matter. This coupled with the fact I have time in my schedule ( I can commit up to 20 hours a week) as long as it’s on the schedule of my choosing , allows me full confidence I won’t have any learning challenges for the program. I have both an office at home I will use in the morning and evening and on the weekends as well as often opportunity during the work day to complete some study at my office or a coffee shop in between meetings. Additionally, I have easy access to multiple libraries and universities nearby should I need a change of environment. I will also have full encouragement and support of both my family (other members of my family have advanced degrees and higher education is of great value to my family), and professional circle (I have made the decision to pursue this degree based greatly on advice and encouragement of superiors and colleagues). I have multiple individuals in my professional network that have themselves completed this degree and will be willing resources should I need additional insight or discussion for clarity in my
As a mother, wife, and a full time worker, an online program works best for me; because I fit my schoolwork into my daily schedule, and rearrange my schedule as needed. In addition, all my schoolwork can be completed at the convenience of my home. The fact that the Walden University MSW program is accredited by CSWE means that the program meets the standard set forth, for the profession. I am assured by the time I graduate from the program; I would have learned the skills needed to work in the field. In addition, the online review of Walden University is good.
I have had a lifetime goal to attend college, it just didn’t happen early in life. When I first came to CCU, there was no doubt that getting my bachelors in early childhood would be my major. My passion has always been young children. It started when I babysat as a young teenager and has continued in my life as a preschool teacher. Education is constantly changing: therefore, I feel I need to have more knowledge and wisdom to be the best teacher possible. Education is by far one of the most important tools to have a successful life. With diligence, I want to be a leading educator and to be a gateway for my students to learn. It’s exhilarating how many lives a teacher will touch each day. A teacher has the power to reach out and make learning a positive and memorable experience for every child. Furthermore, teachers are one of the first caregivers for young children. Although I am not at the beginning of my career, while at CCU, I will grow in faith, help and learn from others, and strive to graduate with honors.
I am very interested in a career field in Human Resources. For this paper, I interviewed Lillian Mannino who is a Human Resource and Personnel Manager at the UC San Diego Graduate School of Global Policy and Strategy. As a manager, Lillian serves as the link between the graduate school’s management and its employees. She is in charge of overseeing recruitment, employee relations, policy development, payroll, and benefits. Personnel management is a special branch of management that is focus on the concerns of employees at work and their relationship with the organization. Her educational experiences consist of a bachelor degree at UC San Diego in Management Science and a professional Human Resources certificate from UCSD Extension. She has been working in the academic administration for almost ten years and earned her current position as manager through climbing up the ladder. She started off working in this field as a student affairs officer then was promoted to an administrative specialist. Her prior work experience paved a path for her to build up professional experience as well as a solid network within the UCSD administrative system.
I believe UW-Green Bay is the university for me, and that I am a perfect candidate to help enrich this prestigious university both academically and socially. Many personal traits, experiences, and goals I have directly correlate with UW-Green Bay’s mission statement and goals for their students. Also, located just off the Lake Michigan shoreline, UW-Green bay offers a beautiful campus for its students, which intrigues me as an individual as a place I can see myself living and enjoying as I work toward my undergraduate degree. In addition, UW- Green Bay has all beautiful state-of-the art facilities and learning centers that I visited that I truly can see myself living in, learning in, and creating new friends and memories in. I believe this

A review of the human resources’ website of a college or university shows the diversity of jobs and positions within a university. These positions range from the seemingly obscure accountant, office manager, or plumber, to the traditional academic advisor, professor, and higher-level administration. As different as these positions may appear, they typically can be
I have acquired a host of titles during the course of my life: protégée, mentor, educator, scholar, author, coordinator, analyst, manager, ambassador, AmeriCorps VISTA, paramedic, combat medic, Doc, soldier and veteran. Significant experiences and life events that accompany these titles have shaped me into the self-motivated and competent leader that I am now. Thus, it is with deep conviction that I express my commitment to completing a Doctorate in Human and Organizational Learning from the Graduate School of Education and Human Development at The George Washington University (GWU).

I currently work with staffing and with a bachelor’s degree in management; I believe I would be ready to move up to a higher level. The transition from staffing to human resources I believe would be smooth, because I am familiar with the hiring process and I am also knowledgeable with dealing with outside staffing agencies.

My father is a small business owner, so that was my first exposure to it. That being said, my interest in entrepreneurship has grown steadily in the last few years as I've learned more about it. I also believe my co-op experiences have helped me tremendously in this respect because they've forced me to think critically about what I'm looking for in a career. Specifically I feel that working on an entrepreneurial venture would give me feelings satisfaction, ownership, and creative control that couldn't be matched at a large company.
