In order to be prepared for an interview, Tamara must consider her apparel options for her job search. A well-groomed appearance is a necessity during the interview process and sometimes it is the small details that make a big impression. A quick research via the web has helped Tamara to determine a general consensus about the appearance required of a woman interviewing for a position in a bank. It is recommended that if it is possible, she should go to the bank where she is to be interviewed and observe how the employees are dressed. She should overdress rather than underdress. Tamara has focused on three websites in order to get a general feel of what is considered proper: a college website (http://extension.illinois.edu/dress/02clothes-04interviews.cfm), a work-related website (http://work.chron.com/prepare-bank-teller-interview-19217.html), and a banking website (http://leverageacademy.com/blog/banking-interview-attire/). Here are the recommendations that formed the general consensus of what she should wear to her interview according to the sites Tamara researched. She should choose …show more content…

A good rule to follow is to dress for the job you want, not the job you have. If you are currently a bank teller and want to become a branch manager, identify the successful branch managers and emulate their manner of dress.
For this week’s nonprofit article, I chose an article about a woman name Nancy Lublin, who is the founder of Dress for Success. Through her hard work and planning, she turned her dream into a success. Nancy first thought was how to get people to get on board to donate high end clothes to the organization, even though the organization did not have a lot of money. Nancy, “Identify Limiting Conditions. Planning for a nonprofit organization must also look at those factors that constrains it activities budgetary conditions.” (Wolf 2012, p298). Promotion When going in for a job interview, most likely there will be others who are applying and interviewing for the same job. As a result, a good resume, appearance, and ability to communicate is key when trying to make a good first impression and get the job. In some cases, companies will not care how good a resume is, how well a person is dressed, or even how well a person may speak. An employer may only be concerned with the race of the interviewee, and may deny him or her the job simply because of his or her race.
Your attire is the first thing the interviewer observes when he greets you. Keep in mind, the product you are marketing is yourself. While your interview attire will not guarantee you get the job, it will give you a viable edge.
There are many reasons why I believe that business should require dress codes for business. They should do this so that, as an employee for a specific job, like a nurse, you need to dress as if you know about your job, which means there are certain jobs that should require certain things to wear, such: nurses, doctors, lawyers,
Over the span of 150 years the flour industry in Minnesota has changed massively. The Minnesota flour industry got started in 1869. In Minnesota the industry was very small before Charles Pillsbury. In 1869 Pillsbury came west from New Jersey to Minnesota. Charles was full of courageous thoughts about starting a new business. Charles Pillsbury started a wonderful flour industry. Within 5 years the business was on fire. One of the reasons why our state succeeded in the flour industry is because we had many railroads and grains traveled by the trains.
It has been disputed that clothes does make the man and it certainly can be a deal breaker on several occurrences, particularly during first impressions, whether on a first date, meeting the parents, or at an interview. If at job interview the candidate is dressed inappropriately, chances are he/she may not be hired. A job interview is an opportunity to market oneself in the most notable way possible. According to Carreernetwork.mus.edu, every corporation has a distinctive dress code; what you wear to the interview may not necessarily be how you will dress for the job. Consequently, it is essential to dress appropriately for the interview if you want to make a memorable first impression. “Before you say a single word to the interviewer, you have already made an impression based on how you’re dressed”
b) The outfit is semi-formal which is suitable for working at an advertising agency. The blazer and heels keeps the look professional as well as stylish. Part of an advertiser’s job is to keep up with trends so their appearance should be attractive and fashionable. The outfit is accessorised with a fashionable handbag. Therefore this outfit is appropriate for working in the corporate world.
This includes dressing appropriately for the setting and customarily would be business attire. The attendee should bring multiple copies of their resume and if seeking a different job or position in another industry, to bring separate resume versions. The applicant should also do their best to research prior to the event, this may be registering for the career fair and discovering which companies will be in attendance. As with any interview, the job seeker should learn more about the companies they are applying to and the hiring managers and prepare for the interview
Why would you hire one or the other? Because the one that was dress for the interview shows that he is prepared and that he really want the job.
The first credible source I found that was helpful was LifeHack.org. LifeHack is one of the top 10,000 most visited sites in the world. This site was made for college students and was founded by Lean Ho at Hack College. On this site, it describes 5 most common mistakes during, and before the interview. One common mistake is the wardrobe. Even if it’s summer and blazing hot, that is not an excuse for not being properly attired, this means an interviewee may not wear short. LifeHack studies say that in the first 7 to 17 seconds, that’s the first impression. If not properly attired, one can be disqualified before open their mouth. The next common mistake is being late. A good saying is, “If you’re not 5 mins early, you’re 10 mins late”. Showing up late can have one immediately dismissed. One suggestion LifeHack makes is if you feel like the interview is too far away from you, suggest to the interviewer to doing an online interview. Life can throw a lot of obstacles such as traffic or getting lost in an unknown area. Always be early! The third common

As much as we all wish to deny it, the way we dress has a big impact on our success in life. One way to acknowledge this idea is through the use of school uniforms. Over time, schools have become aware of the importance of uniforms:
In today’s world of high fashion and abnormally perfect celebrities, it easy for anyone to feel as if their appearance does not measure up to the standards of their celebrity idols. As a result, teenagers and young adults are always trying to perfect their appearance. However, these same individuals do not take the same care when applying for a job or attending an interview. Unfortunately, they do not see the importance of making a good first impression on prospective employees. Research has shown that “the earlier one begins to look for employment, the better chance he/she has in finding employment and in numerous quantities” (Hirschi). The basic skills of applying for a job are more than an impressive resume. The
