Diversity use to be defined based on gender, race, color, nationality origin and religion. That changed over the years, and the term diversity has expanded. Especially in situations of conflict a lot of respect is not demonstrated and that shows lack of value. To promote and uphold the company, respect should be practiced among all staff employees. Respect is an important aspect of business in the workplace. Respect can be demonstrated in simple ways, such as treating others with courtesy, politeness, and respecting the culture of others. Taking the time to listen to what others have to say, and encouraging opinions and ideas. When you listen, you can also incorporate the ideas of others and use those ideas to improve your work or project. You help employees know that you understand them, and will implement that idea among other employees. This influences collaboration. Respect should be used among all individuals no matter the religion, gender, size, age or country of origin.
