1. Lifetime sport, fitness, and or recreational activity perspective: I think in 5,10, and 15 years Brianna will be living with either her mom or someone that helps her. I don’t think she will be living on her own but I think she will make great improvements in the psychomotor and affective domain in many years down the road. I think she will be able to do the basic locomotor skills, such as running, galloping and jumping, but I think she will still be behind in the object control skills such as hitting and dribbling. After doing the TGMD-2 on Brianna I was able to work with her on some basic locomotor skills and she was able to copy what I did, so I think if everyone kept working with her on the same things she will be able to do them down

I choose her as my child to focus on because she seemed to be having so much fun all on her own. She engaged in a lot of different outdoor play activities but her time on the slide showcased her physical developmental the most to me. Based off her ease of climbing I feel that she has excellent large motor skills. Her muscle strength and endurance, hand/eye coordination, and projectile management are excellent and seemed to be well-developed. She showed no signs of hesitation when climbing and was able to go up and down the slide multiple times without showing signs of fatigue. Her hands and feet never slipped or seemed unsteady once. I have chosen to study athletic training because it allows me to still participate and be involved in sports as well as be able to help athletes recover from injuries while gaining valuable clinical experience for physical therapy. Growing up I have always had a love for sports but I have not been graced with the abilities to become a professional athlete. With my love for sports as a youth I watched a lot on television with my father and I would see athletes get injured and medical personnel rush out to their aid. When I found out they were athletic trainers and physical therapists, I knew that is what I wanted to do when I grew up. Through athletic experiences, and playing three sports throughout high school career, injuries from that sport, shadowing opportunities, and classes that have impacted my choice of my major. While a sophomore in high school, I had the opportunity to take a sports medicine elective class. At first, I was not too sure about it, but I thought I would give it a try and I ended up loving every second of the class, especially the hands-on experience. After taking both levels of the course, I learned a great deal about taping, special tests, the different treatment modalities, all the joints of the body and common injuries for each, as well as the different career options under the sports medicine umbrella. Since I enjoyed the course, I signed up for my school’s Athletic Training club where I was a student trainer for the wrestling and soccer teams. I worked alongside the school’s head athletic trainer to help tape, stretch, and provide first aid for the athletes both on and off the field. We also worked to provide and implement rehabilitation plans to help the athletes return to play after an injury. One could argue that natural ability is one of the determining factors which leads to success. For example, if an athlete has dreams of playing in the NBA then height makes a difference. There aren’t many successful players in the league under six feet tall. One could argue that level of competition plays a role in the development of an athlete. This could include the skill level of the opponent or outside factors such as playing conditions or game circumstances. (Prentice, 2014) Prior to this, early civilization athletics were unorganized. Although they were unorganized, there is information that suggests that Greek and Roman civilizations featured people who assisted athletes in reaching their peak physical condition. It all started on June 2014, I was uncomfortable in my own skin. I was underweight and was always out of breath. I ran like a turtle. At that time, I weighed only 115 pounds. I wanted to make a change for the better, wanting a better lifestyle. So I decided to sign up for the gym. That day changed my life forever. The gym made me fit, healthier, but most importantly it made me a better person which is who I am today.
She may one day need physical therapy for this but as of right now she participates in activities such as swimming and using the monkey bars on a play set. She is also always made to carry her bags, and once or twice a week she and her father have fake push up competitions. As a result of her weaker upper trunk she may one day have trouble in fine motor skills, such as forming her letters, but so far she has developed normally.
