When preparing a diet for Mrs. W, it is important to remember that she will need to prepare the meals on her own as her husband will be away for months at a time and her daughter will be at school. While Mrs. W is undergoing cancer treatment reheating meals prepared in advance allows Mrs. W to be independent at mealtime.
It is recommended to drink a minimum of eight 6 oz glasses of water throughout the day ensuring good circulation in the body. Water is readily available at all times.
Breakfast is served with Weetabix, flax seed, blueberries, and almond milk served with a half of a grapefruit and a cup of coffee.

Blueberries are a source of essential vitamins and minerals, have natural phytonutrients which are good for brain health by increasing dopamine, and ellagic acid, which encourages a healthy rate of apoptosis assisting in destroying cancer cells.

Almond Milk is low in sodium, high in healthy fats, a source of essential vitamins, minerals, and fiber. It is low in carbohydrates, and lactose-free.

Grapefruit while high in Vitamin C, and antioxidants, it contains lycopene which appears to have antitumor activity. The content of phytonutrients may prevent cancerous cells from proliferating.

Lunch consists of Salata Baladi with dressing, Red Lentil Soup with Granary Bread with Green tea with mint leaves.
