Never did I think in my high school career, I would be able to make an major impact in my school that would continue years after I am gone. Last year, I had the opportunity to participate in a competition called Adcap, sponsored by a German company Systems, Applications, and Products also known as SAP; consisting of schools from all over the state. With hard work and dedication I was honored to get first place and win a thousand dollar grant to improve my high school in any way I desired.
With the assistance of my sports medicine teacher, we came up with an innovation of constructing a mental health room on the school campus for any student to visit if they are experiencing any sort of mental breakdown or illness. As much as our school district
I have several notable accomplishments, most of them are of academics. Some of the awards/accomplishments that I can recall ever since I was in middle school are: First position on spelling contest, department award for the most Helpful student, Student of the quarter, Presidential award for educational excellence (Gold Seal), 4.0 Honor roll, Indian Classical dance, Achieve3000 state winner, department award for “Excellence in English Language Acquisition,” and Academic Excellence Lettering Award. Among all these awards and recognition, I consider Achieve3000 to be the greatest because it was a state level competition and was moderately competitive to win. In the Achieve3000 program, basically, an individual has to compete with the students
Our school has and will continue to have many great achievers and leaders! We have been filled with a great amount of knowledge and potential. Separately we can move a rock but together we can move mountains. We all did our best and gave outstanding accomplishments to this school. Nevertheless, whether our involvement was by trophies, by knowledge, or even just being a
As a freshman in high school, I had the worst grades in Biology, English and Math. I was struggling in English and Biology because of my poor English-language skills. I was new to the United States, and that made the transition difficult. However in math I was just being lazy and I did not want to put in the effort needed to get a decent grade.
Throughout my high school years, I gave myself many opportunities and challenges to demonstrate my worth as a leader. Of all these positions, the one I take pride in the most would be taking the lead role of directing a non-profit ACT organization. Together with my classmate, we had founded the organization to which I took charge of after he left to attend college. During my role as president of the ACT organization, my responsibilities included tutoring, finding teachers, organizing sign ups, as well as procuring space to hold classes.
Throughout my three years at Barnegat High School I have strived to be a respectful, responsible and influential student and athlete. I have worked hard to stand out among my peers, be dedicated to everything I do, work towards achieving my personal goals and positively influence those around me. As an individual and a young adult, I believe it is the responsibility of younger generations to work towards being the best version of ourselves we can possibly be and positively contribute to others and our community. Overall, I aspire to be a well rounded individual and character that demonstrates the qualities of respect, citizenship, and responsibility.
I want to make a positive and lasting impact on young students who aspire to accomplish great things and wish to stand where I stand now.
As of today, I demonstrate the idea that young minds are valuable through my HPAC group. I created this group not only from personal experiences, but also learning that my experiences were all too common. Finding out that my own school district had the highest suicide attempt rate in America was heartbreaking. I knew that there was something to be done to alleviate this. This pushed me into creating Helping Our Peers Excel (H.O.P.E.).
“My high school career has been busy. A positive of it being busy is that life never gets boring, but a negative to me always being busy is that sometimes I want to take it slow and relax," says Kenton Stover, son of Ken and Amy Stover. When Kenton does get time to relax, he enjoys doing Powersports mechanics, hunting, fishing, hanging out with his girlfriend, and being free in this great country. Kenton is involved in FFA, FCCLA, he is the chapter president of Skills USA, he is the senior class historian, and Stover attends Votec at State Fair Community College studying building trades; Kenton also plays baseball and basketball.
I volunteered as a mentor and presenter to a local high school with Junior Achievement. I combined my academic, military and business background in a program for high school to motivate and encourage excellence in accordance with this program which focuses on developing leadership in business amongst our youth.
In this time of day, earning many recognizable accomplishments is a much harder task than many think. I stay true to be proud of my accomplishments. From the bigger ones such as receiving my certifications in multiple Adobe softwares, to my smaller ones like getting passed my first year of college. I consider passing High School to be one of my biggest accomplishments. Yes, getting your High School Diploma is the standard, but in this day and age, technology has made it easier to find a purpose in life for some. As for myself, even though I strive to some day work on designing and assembling computers, I have followed the traditional path of grinding through school to reach a stable amount of knowledge to further continue my studies. High School
During my time at Coral Gables Senior High School, Alex Bazzi, a classmate, won first place in the Future Business Leader of America (FBLA) national competition in network design, which inspired me to pursue the path of network design and to also compete in the FBLA’s competitions thus resulted in making me a state level winner. In return to Alex Bazzi’s inspiration I would like to leave a similar legacy as to be a figure of achievement in which underclassmen will not look at my achievements and strive to be me but to look at me and realize I was just a regular student in the class who took a chance and tired something as all it took for me to win was realizing I was capable of winning if I tired. I remember my first FBLA win and how great
Success is defined as the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. I aimed for something
Starting my senior year I had an idea on what I wanted to study when I would graduate high school and receive my diploma. I have so many feeling mixed together. I feel excited because it would be my last year in high school ,but at the same time I will feel nervous because I don’t know what would be the next chapter of my life. I would be able to take over my life and make choices that I would like to achieve my ultimate goal is to graduate high school on time and of course with good grades. The college that I would be attending right after I graduate is Fresno state to accomplish my course classes that I would need to take to be a Medical Assistance. I will be accomplishing my goal by focusing only on school and keeping up with all my school
The mass majority of individuals past the age of thirty seem to trivialize problems that a plethora of American youth suffer from today. Simply put, the French author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry describes it best in his book, The Little Prince, in the quote, “All grown-ups were once children…but only few of them remember it.” We are inordinately exhausted from classes and extracurricular activities that promise college appeal, we are emotionally inept from the expectations of our family’s and peers, and we are despondent from the inability to caste away anxiety filled doubt at a future that seems implausible. My greatest contribution to my school and my community is my dedication to establish compassion and comfort for an improved quality of life. The known establishment of my human gifts to my region came about from my own experiences that caused a realization that various students in my community feel outcasted by our society. By creating a persona that promotes nondiscriminatory listening while also creating three clubs that perform as a safe space, I believe my greatest attribute to my small town of Forest City will endure the hardships of time.
My intentions were to relax for the next year and enjoy some perks of being “out of
