Interstitial Cystitis(IC)/Painful Bladder Syndrome (PBS)
Is the pain, “All in my Head”, or is it something else?
It is estimated that over 3.3 million U.S. women, or 2.7 percent, who are 18 years of age or older have pelvic pain and other symptoms, such as urinary urgency or frequency, that are associated with IC/PBS.

Other sources, like (Reviews in Urology) suggest that urinary markers of IC may help Brown 5
with diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of IC patients. With this in mind, I feel my research can help in getting the word out there about IC/PBS, and Chronic Pelvic Pain (CPP). One of the more interesting sources came from: The better Bladder Book “What’s Bugging your Bladder” by Wendy Cohan. The chapter pg 96, discusses the role of food sensitivity in IC. It argues that food sensitivities play a huge role in causing or worsening bladder symptoms and can also contribute to harmful inflammation throughout the body. A lot of this relates to the types of foods we eat and how our bodies process those foods. In my own experience in trying to find the right treatment options, diet was one of the first that I had to change. Things that are high in acid like tomatoes could cause a painful flare up that could last from hours to days, or even months, so eliminating this from my diet was one way to eliminate another painful flare. This book was written with a copyright date of 2011, and since then, no changes have been made to IC Diet that I could find in any of my sources. As part of the “other side of the debate”, I did look for different opinions on “opposing viewpoints” but could not find any articles that disputed any of the claims that I have researched thus far. I did find that the AUA has
During reconstruction, the meaning of freedom suited many different types of interpretation; the perception of freedom between former slaves and their slaves masters were very contradictory. To begin with, African-Americans had suffered severe abuse over those years of slavery, so to them, the meaning of freedom was basically a hope that in the future, they won’t experience all kind of punishment and exploration that they have been experienced so far. Besides that, formers slaves were demanding equal civil and political rights. In the same way, they valued their freedom by establishing their own schools and churches, reuniting families that were separated under
Equality means that everyone has the right to be treated equally and appropriate for their individual needs.
People communicate for a number of reasons, for example, to express emotions (i.e. sadness, happiness and anger), pain, personal opinions, to relay information with regards to an individual’s health, personal preferences such as religion, sexual or culture and also to obtain knowledge or information on any given subject; communication can also be viewed as a learning experience. Communication can be informal or formal depending on the circumstances. For example; formal communication would occur in professional settings,
Communication is a two-way process that takes practice and time to be fully effective and is very important in every aspect our personal and professional lives. We communicate every day of our lives both verbally or nonverbally. The process of verbal communication is the exchanging information by transmitting an idea, send that idea, receive feedback, understand the idea and the feedback and provide feedback to the person who sent the message. The main components of communication are context, encoder, message, medium, decoder, and feedback. The context could be social, chronological, cultural, or physical. The individual sending the message will
1. Ernestine Friedl says that the position of women is higher the more they are involved in (l) primary subsistence (as owners or controllers, NOT merely as laborers) and (2) the PUBLIC distribution of the product of subsistence. Use this argument to account for the position of women in Kung society. Make sure you use both part (l) and part (2) of Friedl’s argument. (Don’t worry that Friedl’s argument is simplistic; she is not trying to say that women’s role in subsistence is the ONLY factor that affects their position in society.)

As a trainer, teacher and assessor my roles are many and varied. As part of my day to day work I may not only deliver lessons but also carry out theory assessments, practical assessments and sometimes interviews. I may have to motivate and liaise as well as guide and assess. I will have to keep records and be a subject specialist as well as liaise internally and impart information and advice sometimes on a personal level. The first impact I play regarding my role is either interviewing possible candidates or meeting and greeting them on the first day of their course. Meeting potential apprentices/apprentices on their first day induction requires me to make a good
There are specific ethical considerations that need to be addressed when investigating Homicide and rape. A few of these ethical considerations are shared between the two such as the investigators mind state. This plays an important role in the preparations required for a successful prosecution. The investigator must be open-minded to any and all possibilities and be un-bias. The investigator must also know how to conduct all the elements of an investigation in the proper manner from a professional and legal aspect.

A barrier that is potentially experienced by disabled women related to routine Papanicolaou (PAP) tests is that the women may feel because she is disabled that she doesn’t need to have regular PAP tests. Such as a quadriplegic, may feel that she doesn’t need a yearly PAP if she is not sexually active. This is not the case because she still has the potential of having an abnormal PAP. Another barrier may be that it is hard for the patient to transfer to an exam table or may be embarrassed to ask for help in doing so, therefore it may be easy for the patient to skip going to the doctor (Hinkle & Cheever, 2014, pp. 145-149).
