I always had interest in a clinical research career that serves a large number of people by emphasizing more on research studies by exploring whether a medical strategy, treatment or device is safe and effective for humans. As a graduate in medicine, my strong base in the medical field continually challenged and motivated me to expand my skills in patient care. My coursework has allowed me to develop a keen understanding of how disruption in biological systems can influence one’s health.

I recently found out about an opening at Absolute Health as a medical assistant. I know that with the skills I have I can be a valuable asset to your clinic. I saw in your website that specialize in different forms of medicine, really giving the patient a unique plan for their specific needs, and more importantly, a focus on genuine respect and compassion for the patients. I would love to be a part of that.
Initially my aim; was to complete a placement in a nursery setting as an employee. Part the reason for this, was because I wanted to experience a placement where I would be pushed out of my comfort zone. Giving me the responsibility and expectation to fulfil the role of a member of staff expected to know policy and procedures used within the setting. I fell that this type of placement would have offered me with more opportunities to reflect on my professional practice and apply changes in practise to be a better practitioner. With this I first decided to look up nurseries in my area emailing each nursery of my interest in having a university placement whilst as an employee. Whilst, I was successful obtaining work before I could begin my work I was informed they could no longer afford to keep me on.
“Go get yourself a summer job” said my mom when I graduated early from high school on April
Practicum really helped me decide on which school level I would like to work at. I did my practicum in a high school and my overall experience with it was good. The work I did with the Seniors was satisfying; however it did help me realize that I want to work with elementary aged students. From my experience in Practicum, I was able to see that many high school students’ problems are developmental and age appropriate. This was a little bit of a challenge for me because I had to realize that these issues they were having difficulties with, while may seem minor to me was a major issue for them. I do feel that I was able to help some of the clients in the school, but a lot of the focus for them was on the classes they were taking and future plans for college. Something that gave me a lot of pride while at my Practicum site was that I really was able to connect to one of my clients and she would stop by to visit and speak at least once a week, even when she was not having any issues.

We need to be mindful of the fact that the program that I run, which is having issues internationally, is also program that has the least experienced personnel in the company. I want to change that mindset and provide a program that will insure you are just as competent in your dealings internationally as one of our new employees. I strive to insure that we provide you with every tool and opportunity to succeed. My report will show that with proper organization, training, experience, and support, every intern will become a vital asset to our company. This will enhance the pool of potential candidates for full time employment and help you stand out from a completely new person.
During my cooperative education placement, I worked at Whitcoulls, a major national retailer in New Zealand that offers a variety of stationery, books, toys, magazines and similar items. Operating in the retail industry, Whitcoulls has over 55 stores that are spread all over the country. I worked at the organization’s head office branch as an accounts payable officer. According to Michael (2013) and Schaeffer (2002), an accounts payable officer is tasked with reviewing invoices, sort documents, recording transactions, and processing invoices. Hence, my role included assisting in accounts payables, receivables and general auditing while applying the concepts of financial statements reporting and auditing. More specifically, I was involved in data entry, record keeping, verifying transactions and invoices, and processing invoices due for payment. Besides, I assisted in other accounting tasks in the company’s head office as well as other stores.
A resume a short, simple document that highlights an individual's experience, qualifications, skills education and certifications in hopes of finding a job and is usually limited to one, maybe two pages. (WiseGEEK, n.d.) Some employers ask for a resume, other employers ask for what is called a Curriculum Vitae, often shorted to CV. Some employers use the term interchangeably. The CV includes all life accomplishments, in chronological order regardless of the relevance to the job duties. In the academic community, a CVs is the most common and can ran several pages long and is often requested for graduate and professional schools like PHD programs. (Simpson, n.d.)
