Self-evaluation Questions (these are slightly different from the ones in the syllabus) 1) How have the discussions about the many aspects of global justice helped you to develop your opinions on this topic? I honestly feel like classes like this should be offered more. Without the need for tests, and being able to express ourselves in an open environment and allowing us to have artistic freedom, I feel like has helped me learn the content deeper and given me much more satisfaction. And with the many different topics being covered I feel like I can learn all the sides of the argument being given, making me a more well-rounded and knowledgeable person. I know I am not outspoken when it comes to controversial topics (I am highly non-conversational), but it’s nice to see those who are, and get that nice classroom …show more content…
Our two potential groups right now are the Humane Society and Sierra Club, who we are hoping to connect with to create a project for Meatless Mondays and stopping the wall being created from Trump to stop the potential environmental dangers and implications from happening. We were thinking about proposing to the groups about creating a mural or interaction piece where you interact with multiple rooms to get the full spectrum of the implications of meat and the harm it has on not only the environment but our bodies as well; and creating a wall around Point Defiance Zoo to make a public statement about how the wall and animals/ environment interact and not allowing people to pass the wall without some form of common items that people don’t normally carry. We are hoping more to connect with the Humane Society for Meatless Mondays, but its hard because we haven’t gotten back any responses from either group. Our biggest concern right now is not getting back a response, and I guess finding time to really talk about our ideas (we only use text and email, and most of them are from
According to Conte, Weiner, and Plutchik, the average score for most people, regardless of age, is 8.5. My score shocked me a little because I would think I worry about death a lot but consider to this questionnaire I am not that concern. I scored a 3, it was lower than the average score that these researchers found. I believe my score was low because I am deciding to make plans for my future and if I decide to get marry and have children the will not have to worry about anything except live their life and work hard. I want to get all of my debt settled and pay out all the bills so that my family would not have to worry. I do not believe anyone would forget about me because there will always be photos and videos to remember me by whether it
Everyday we ask ourselves, “Did I make the right decision?” Whether it is in regards to family, friends or co-workers we constantly do self assessments. Self-assessment is defined as a process through which individuals gain knowledge about themselves. This includes information about their likes and dislikes as well as their reactions to specific situations. By knowing more about themselves, individuals can be able to determine the work situations and occupations that are most appropriate for them. There are several lessons that can be learnt from self-assessment in relation to individual decision making. This research paper will examine reveal the lesions learned from self assessment. We will observe of the influence of the American
CENS 303A is my third distance online course at University of British Columbia. It allowed me to learn about the history of the Holocaust, which is an event that I am not particularly familiar. Even though we might not talk about this topic often, it’s still something that we must never forget. Not only did this course educate me about the timeline, historical figures involved but it also helped me understand the realm of darkness in Auschwitz concentration camps.
•After I completed all of these self assessments quiz, I learned a lot about myself. I learned that I am more of relate to art more than science. Even though I said that I want to me a Dentist for my future, but it was just a plan. Future can be change. Something that surprised me was the knowledge quiz because the occupations that listed were mostly related to my interests.
Before I went in to the evaluation, I wanted to collect my thoughts about how I thought I had been performing for the week. I had not received much feedback on how I had been doing and all of it had been positive. On several occasions, I had been told, “good observation” or, “I was hoping you would pick up on that”. During one instance, an OT was asking me how I would modify a child’s goals based on his progress, and I answered based on my knowledge that I have gathered through LEND, the OT program and my personal experience. The OT I was speaking with and the two OTs who overheard were impressed with my response and commented that I was ahead of some of the other level I students they have had before. Regardless of this positive feedback,
How do you feel about the results of your self-assessment? Overall, I am pleased and surprised with the results of my self-assessment, 118/150. As I stated in my introduction, I have a degree in Spanish language and culture. Consequently, my entire life I have always attempted to submerge myself in different cultures, to truly understand them and to be acceptant of them.
After reveiewing my results from the self assessment test, my scores improved except for communication. In communication I scored one point higher than before. I dont think the test is accurate but it has definitely made me more aware of my practices and actions. Since taking the first assessment Ive been more mindful and have tried very hard to improve personally and professionally. My attitude/behavior is my professional strength. Im always positive and I keep a smile on my face no matter the situation. My knowledge and skills are reflected in all of the work that I complete. Through my actions my patients can see that I have a passion for helping others. I hold myself to a high standard and expect nothing but the best. Im always
Core self-evaluations are one of my traits. I am good at determining what I believe in and am typically confident I can achieve that goal. Authenticity is my biggest trait. My opinions are usually not swayed, however I am always up front and honest about what I am thinking. I am however articulate in the deliverance of my beliefs, goals, or opinions. I try to make a point not to offend someone and I enjoy hearing the differences others may have from my own. I can give unbiased advice to anyone. When I worked at Walmart in high school, we had a manager that would hold group meetings where he would do all of the talking. He basically would just tell us where our highest level of shrinkage was and
There have been numerous things that I have learned and experienced during my short time within this course. The creation of a professional résumé, the philosophy of self-reelection as an upcoming teacher, even the field observation experience, it was all enlightening. However, if there was one definitive concept in this course that has had the most prominent effect on me and my potential as a teacher, it would have to be the discussions. To be able to state my end on intriguing topics and get a response, while also considering others’ opinions and points-of-views was fortuitous for me. The discussion board has persuaded me with topics that I would have not thought too much about until presented such as inner authority, fundamentals, and persuasion.
For one to establish a stress free life, one of the most important aspects one should pursue together is having a balanced healthy lifestyle. Paying attention to the level of changes in once life over a period of time requires a full attention and cooperation of the individual’s daily activity towards achieving this goal. On my self- assessment I score 76 out of 80 on Discovering Self-motivation, Mastering Self-management, and Believing in Myself. I got high score on these because I feel that have gotten better on what I do. I started to believe in myself because I know I can do better. Also I know that there is something better for me and now I’m following what my mind tells me to do. The lowest score I got is 43 out of 80 in Employing Interdependence. Because I like to do things by myself I don’t like when people tell me what to do.
I believe it is important for any student who wants to do their best in a class to take a moment to evaluate their own work to determine the rate their writing is progressing and how they can continue to advance their writing. When I looked through my own work I asked myself “what have I learned this semester?” and “what do I still need to learn in order to improve my writing?”. Answering both these questions will help me with my last step of my self-evaluation, developing a plan to learn new skills.
Overall my evaluation on Assess Yourself showed that I’m in a very good state. Out of the seven categories 2 of them scored in between. These categories was my physical health and my environmental health. I was completely aware of that I was not where I wanted to be physically, but I did not know I was poor in my environmental health.
The document I chose to design is my resume. The reason as to why I chose this particular document is because I felt my resume was very appealing. My resume was three pages and did not have good use of white space. Although it had a very professional look to it, my resume didn’t match my style. Also, it was a word template and I wanted it to have a reflection on my professional self. The purpose of the document is for potential employers to see my previous experience, skills, and accomplishments.
Now that I have completed the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth course Crafting the Essay, I feel I have tremendously grown as a writer. Even after submitting the first assignment, I looked back at a position paper I wrote for school that I received an A+ on, yet I saw several flaws I wished I had changed.
