Drop and Shop Marketing Plan
To have a successful product or service there needs to be a solid marketing plan. To create a market plan one needs to understand what marketing is. “Marketing is the performance of activities that seek to accomplish an organization’s objectives by anticipating customer or client needs and directing a flow of need-satisfying goods and services from producer to customer or client” (Perreault, Cannon, & McCarthy, 2009, p. 6). Drop and Shop Daycare would have hours that accommodate the normal stay-at-home parents as well as the hardworking nine to five parents. Hours would be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. These hours would benefit everyone that needed the service. Drop and Shop Daycare will guarantee the same satisfaction as all other Wal-Mart services and products.
As another service from Wal-Mart, there will be many activities for the children to perform while in Drop and Shop Daycare. There would be toys, coloring, and stories for all of the children. The personnel would be attentive and help the children enjoy their time in the daycare. Ages of the children will determine the activities in different areas. There would be a mini-play area with a slide and cubbyholes to play in. This daycare would be a daycare that keeps the children happy.
Ages for the children would be important. The age limits for the children would be two to eight. If there were an older sibling who would like to stay, that would be allowed as well. These ages are set because most parents do not want to leave their newborns with strangers, and children over eight should understand how to behave in a store.

Beginning in 1962, Wal-Mart has made the transition from a small firm in Arkansas to the largest employer with 3, 800 store units in the United States with record revenues today. Providing a play area with a care taker available to watch their children while customers shop shows how they care about families. Although Safeway may not provide a child care center, some locations are equipped with car-carts, making shopping for small children much more excited to go to the grocery store. Employees at Safeway will help any customer that requires assistance. When I was working at store level and had more face to face time with customers, I assisted many shoppers with their groceries. There were numerous situations where a customer may have needed help, whether they were older needing assistance loading their vehicle or a mother with children who just needed an extra hand. Having a business provide assistance regardless the situation, is a great way to show that one does not discriminate. There were times where younger females who were shopping alone in the evening just wanting someone to walk them to their car. A business that cares about their customers with no questions asked shows
