To have a successful product or service there needs to be a solid marketing plan. To create a market plan one needs to understand what marketing is. “Marketing is the performance of activities that seek to accomplish an organization’s objectives by anticipating customer or client needs and directing a flow of need-satisfying goods and services from producer to customer or client” (Perreault, Cannon, & McCarthy, 2009, p. 6). Team B has decided to create a marketing plan for a new service that will be put inside of Wal-Mart Supercenters. The service will be a childcare center called Drop and Shop. These individuals will provide a safe and healthy environment that is enjoyable for the children while each parent or guardian has enjoyable and stress free shopping experience.
Drop and Shop Daycare would have hours that accommodate the normal stay-at-home parents as well as the hardworking nine to five parents. Hours would be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. These hours would benefit everyone that needed the service. Drop and Shop Daycare will guarantee the same satisfaction as all other Wal-Mart services and products.
As another service from Wal-Mart, there will be many activities for the children to perform while in Drop and Shop Daycare. There would be toys, coloring, and stories for all of the children. The personnel would be attentive and help the children enjoy their time in the daycare. Ages of the children will determine the activities in different areas. There would be a mini-play area with a slide and cubbyholes to play in. This daycare would be a daycare that keeps the children happy.
Ages for the children would be important. The age limits for the children would be two to eight. If there were an older sibling who would like to stay, that would be allowed as well. These ages are set because most parents do not want to leave their newborns with strangers, and children over eight should understand how to behave in a store.
