To address:the problem that a friend frequently misses the morning school bus using a scientific method.

Explanation of Solution

Introduction:

The problem statement is that a friend frequently misses the morning school bus. The problem can be identified by making certain hypothesis using scientific methods to identify the cause of the problem. The first step is to identify and analyze the problem, secondly form a hypothesis, next test the hypothesis by conducting experiments. Once the experimental results are obtained, it has to be analyzed.

Let some assumptions be made.

1. The friend is not waking early enough
2. The friend is taking too long to complete breakfast
3. The distance from her home to the bus stop is far.
4. Willingly tries to miss the bus.

Let the hypothesis “Not waking early enough” be the cause. A test can be conducted by making a call to him early in the morning and wake him/her up. Inspite of his non-willingness, he shall start making it to the bus stop at time. Here, a conclusion can be made that the friend needs to wake up at time in order to never miss the bus.

Conclusion:

Hence, the problem is addressed using scientific method.
