Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation:

In water freezes at 32°F and boils at 212°F, the two different Fahrenheit scale should be converted into temperature on the Rankine scale.

Concept Introduction:

Fahrenheit scale: The Fahrenheit and Celsius scale is similar to converting between different unit of length or volume, but is a bit more complex because two correction need to be made one to adjacent for the difference in degree size and one to adjacent for the difference zero points. The degree size correction is made by using the relationship (1°C=1.8°F) and 1°F=(1/1.8)°C

Rankine scale: It is similar to the Kelvin scale in that zero is absolute Zero; however, a degree Rankine is defined as equal to one degree Fahrenheit as opposed to one degree Celsius (as used by the Kelvin scale). The respective temperature of 459.67 °F is equal to 0 °R.
