Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation: The dimensionless group for the relation is to be determined by comparing the dimensions on both the sides of the equation.

Concept introduction: The dimensional consistency is a method to check whether the particular formulae or equation is valid. It doesn’t mean that the formula or equation is correct; it only states that it is dimensionally valid and can perform the arithmetic operations.

There are 3 basic symbols into which all the symbols or quantities can be expressed. These are Mass (kg), Length (m) and time (s) and corresponding symbols are M, L and T respectively.
