Introduction: A human eye can have vision of objects that are about 0.1 millimeters. Objects that are smaller than this cannot be viewed under a normal eye but can be viewed with the help of a microscope. Micro-organisms are such small living organisms that are less than 0.1 mm and can be seen only under suitable microscopes.
Explanation of Solution
As the term indicates, microbiology is the science that involves the study of a variety of micro-organisms including bacteria, virus, archae, prions, and protozoa. It involves their habitat, classification, and both harmful and beneficial aspects of the microbes. Anton Van Leeuwenhoek is known as “the father of microbiology” due to his contributions to this field.
