An experiment was conducted to evaluate the acclimatization and adaptability of bacteria on exposure to different treatment of antibiotics. The results are shown in the graph below:

The figure shows the effects of the sudden, gradual, and moderate increase in antibiotics on the bacterial population.

Introduction:

The richness of earth species is a result of gradual evolution that led to the origin of basic single-celled prokaryotes to their evolution in complex multicellular organisms. On the other hand, sudden environmental changes led to massive effects on organisms likes the extinction of dinosaurs. A gradual environmental change often helps in adaptability of an organism.
