The average distance between Earth and the Sun is 1.5×1011m.1.5×1011m. (a) Calculate the average speed of Earth in its orbit (assumed to be circular) in meters per second. (b) What is this speed in miles per hour?

Suppose velocity of an object is 5.7 miles per hour. When asking this as a question, say, what is velocity in m/s -- meaning meters/sec then we think
dimensional analysis:
1 mile = 5280 ft, 1 ft = 12 in., 1 m = 39.37 in., 1 hour = 60 min, 1 min = 60 s
In short ft to in to meters; also hours to min to seconds. -- dimensional analysis.
However, in all this, do we think that avg velocity = change in distance/change in time. Please explain.
