Chapter 10, Problem 11CYU
Summary Introduction
To review:
The fiber type that are present abundantly in the lower limb muscles of a three-time gold medalist sprinter.
Introduction:
Muscle cells or muscle fibers are obtained from the fusion of developing myoblasts by the process called myogenesis. These fibers are generally cylindrical, have more than one nucleus, and are covered up by sarcolemma (muscle plasma membrane). The muscle cells consist of numerous mitochondria for efficient energy production.

Does flexion or extension of the individual muscles affect the strength of EMG activity in either the Pronator or Biceps muscle during simulated arm wrestling?
Muscular endurance is defined as the:
O a) ability of a muscle to contract
repeatedly over an extended
period of time
b) amount of force a muscle can
produce with a single maximal
effort
O c) ability to move the joints through
a full range of motion
O d) amount of time required to
contract a muscle completely
What is the main active muscle group across the (i) right knee joint and (ii) right ankle joint during controlled lowering?
