The reason for the expansion of the helium balloon as it rises up is to be explained.
Concept introduction:
According to Boyle’s law, it is known that at constant temperature, the number of moles of the gas the volume of the gas is inversely proportional to the pressure of the gas.
As the pressure of the gas decreases, the volume of the gas increases and vice versa.
As we go above the sea level, the density of the atmosphere decreases resulting in the low atmospheric pressure at higher altitudes.
On higher altitudes, the pressure of the atmosphere decreases.
As we go below the sea level, the density of the atmosphere increases resulting in high atmospheric pressure below the sea levels
