Introduction:
A skeletal muscle consists of connective tissues, nerves and blood muscles other than muscle tissues. It consists of connective tissue epimysium. Within the muscles are bundle of muscle fibers covered by connective tissue called perimysium. A thick sheath of connective tissue known as perimysium encloses the muscle fibers together in bundle termed as fascicle. These are the grain like structures seen in a folk tender roasted beef if pull apart. The muscle strength and direction in which it tugs is controlled by the location of the fascicles in various ways. Thus fascicles are classified into fusiform muscles, parallel muscles, triangular muscles, pinnate muscles and circular muscles.
