Chapter 10, Problem 2KQ
Summary Introduction
To describe: The potential mechanisms in which erroneous reaction of the immune system with self-tissue cause autoimmune diseases.
Introduction: An altered immunologic response that occurs against an antigen, which leads to disease, is referred to as hypersensitivity. It is an undesirable reaction produced by the normal immune system of the body. This includes auto-immunity and allergies. The hypersensitivity reactions are classified into four types, namely type I, II, III, and IV.
