Introduction:
The muscle fibers are divided on the basis of energy production process and the rapidness of contraction. This rapidness depends upon the efficiency of fibers to break adenosine triphosphate (ATP) in order to obtain energy for muscle contraction. Slow oxidative, fast oxidative, and fast glycolytic are the three divisions of muscle fibers.
