Interpretation:
The higher boiling point of the compound among the given isomers with the molecular formula
Concept introduction:
The various kinds of interactions that bind a molecule are known as intermolecular forces. These can be a dispersion, dipole–dipole, ion–dipole, and hydrogen bonding.
The boiling point of a compound also varies with the length of the compounds (branching). The longer (linear) is the compound, more will be its boiling point and the boiling point of a compounddecreases with increased branching.
