Crystalline solids are those in which the particles that constitute the solid are sequenced in a periodic manner for a long range. Amorphous solids are those in which the particles that constitute the solid are sequenced in random manner for a long range.
Crystalline solids are of 4 types: ionic, molecular, covalent network and metallic.
In metallic solids, bonding is different than other solids and that is explained by use of 2 theories; electron sea model and molecular orbital theory.
